Makyal Financial Technologies Company is a Saudi closed joint stock company with a capital of 7,500,000 Saudi Riyals, registered with the Ministry of Commerce under commercial registration number (1010665180) and unified number (7008525268) on 16/03/1442 H, originating from Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Makyal Financial Technologies obtained a license from the Capital Market Authority with license number (10-23263) on 21/06/2023 H to engage in securities activities for arranging activities, and started operating on 27/12/2023.
Based on the Financial Market Law issued by Royal Decree number (M/30) dated 02/06/1424 H, and the instructions for the Financial Technology Experiment Permit issued by the Authority on 23/04/1439 H corresponding to 10/01/2018, which aims to provide a regulatory framework that supports financial technology (fintech) innovation in the financial market in the Kingdom, the Authority Council issued its decision on 23/07/2020 approving the financial technology experiment permit application submitted by Makyal Financial Technologies Company to establish a crowdfunding platform. Based on this permit, Makyal Financial Technologies Company will be able to test the crowdfunding platform through which investors can participate in financing medium and small companies in exchange for a share in their stocks. This service is provided through an electronic portal owned and supervised by the company.

Board Members
Mr. Al-Shaikh a wide range of experience in the banking and financial field. He held many positions at the Arab National Bank between 1986 and 2006; the latest was The Deputy Managing Director. Currently, he's holding the chairman position at Saudi Re Company, also he is the founder and the Chairman of Watan First Institute, as well the founder and the Chairman of Watan First for Human Resources. He also held Board memberships in several companies, including Aljazeera Bank, the Civil Aviation Holding board, and Ashmore Company in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Al-Shaikh has a bachelor's degree in Management Science, Applied Mathematics, and Finance from the University of California, San Diego.
Mr. AbouJamee's experience extensively spans 28 years in the financial markets. Currently, he is the CEO of Mekyal Financial Technologies. Previously, he held the position of CEO- Wealth Management at Watheeq Financial services from October 2018 to June 2020. The most prominent stages of his career were his holding the position of CEO of Alistithmar for Financial Securities and Brokerage Company from 2012 to 2018. He also held leadership positions in Bakheet Investment Group, the last of which was the Group CEO in 2012. Mr. AbouJamee holds a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Methods from the College of Administrative Sciences from King Saud University in 1991.
Majid Alissa is chairman of Tysers Saudi Arabia a Reinsurance Broker of Llyods, he is also Vice Chairman of Saudi Research and Marketing Group and Bidaya Home Finance and Mowa Water Desalination and heads audit committee. Alissa is also on the advisory board of 2 local business schools in Riyadh as philanthropy work. Alissa held several board memberships & was advisor to minister of Trade. Alissa is member of Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors and Member of the American Board of Forensic Accounting. Alissa was previously on board of Saudi Printing and Packaging, Ashmore Investment, Knowledge Economic City in Madinah and Al User Auto finance. Alissa was also previously Audit member of Saudi Airports holding, Privatization Center and Bakheet Investment. Alissa has 30 years of experience spanning between Sabic London, Samba, Arab National Bank and Arcapita bank in Bahrain. Alissa was the CEO of Al Anwa family office for serval years managing assets of over USD 5 billion. Alissa helped formation of Bakheet Investment Group and RFIB Saudi Arabia and chaired serval Audi committee. Alissa holds a BA in accounting from King Saud university and a master degree in management and finance from Middlesex university and Post Graduate Diploma from school of management at Bradford University.
During 40 years of work in the field of financial management and investment, Mr. Nasser Al-Awfi worked in several companies in different industries. Currently, he is a Board Member and Head of the Audit Committee in several joint stock companies listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange namely SASCO, Takaful Alrajhi, and United Cement (closed joint stock company). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from King Saud University (1980), and he also holds two Master's degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in the United States of America.
Currently, Mr. Firas Al Zamil holds the position of CEO of GLT. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the College of Science at the University of Central Florida in the United States of America.

Moussa Hawas is the President, Corporate Finance and Business Development for SMEs at Mekyal Fintech, one of the leading equity crowdfunding platforms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, licensed by the Capital Market Authority, to help companies get crowdfunded, and support investors in investing in highly vetted startups, early-stage-high-growth companies, and SMEs. Mekyal is an investment platform to empower entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs to get their growth and expansion business plans financed by potential investors. Prior to joining Mekyal, Moussa was the Director, Investment Banking at TradeKey.com, the world's leading and fastest growing online business-to-business (B2B) marketplace that connects small and medium businesses across the globe for international trade. Previously, was the Managing Partner of Economic Group for Financial Consultancy. Also acted as the Director, Investment Advisory at Delta Financial Solutions, the financial and investment advisory arm of Delta Financial Investments, catering to the development of SMEs in Egypt. Acted also as the Director, Equity Research at Inertia Invest, leading the research team to expand its research regionally. Prior to that, he was an equity research analyst at Beltone Financial Holding. Leveraging his +20 years of experience in equity research and involvement in investment banking transactions, he worked as investment consultant to several companies within the Middle East, advising on various M&A’s. He worked closely with BMG Financial Group in KSA – and Arab Experts Global in Bahrain. His portfolio also extends to working on government related public-private partnerships on smart cities projects with Maxwell Stamp (KSA). Moussa has lectured courses on fundamental analysis and financial forecasting at different Egypt’s universities premises, including Cairo University, and Misr University. He had a regular seat in different local and regional newspapers as an equity analyst, including Al Eqtisadeyah Newspaper (KSA), Arab Newspaper (UK), and Business Today Magazine (Egypt). Moussa holds his MBA in Banking and Finance from Maastricht School of Management, MPhil, and DBA.
Shahd holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, obtained in 2020. In addition to various specialized courses and certifications related to compliance, AML, and terrorist financing, including the Securities Dealing Certificate (CME-1) and the Compliance, AML, and Terrorist Financing Certificate (CME-2) accredited by the Capital Market Authority.
Shahad has served as an Assistant Manager and as a Compliance and AML Officer at Tharawat for Financial Securities from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, she joined the Mekyal Financial Technologies team.
